ICQ is a popular instant messaging protocol. It's homepage can be found at icq.com. It is implemented in Miranda through the ICQ Plugin.
Users are identified by a string of numbers, known as UINs, which act rather like telephone numbers.
ICQ Supports:
- Offline Messaging
- Avatars
- Extra statuses such as 'Free for a chat' and 'Do Not Disturb'
- Extended people search. Search by first/last name, place, interests etc.
